What are you looking for, and what are you finding?

To all the job-seekers out there. How goes the hunt? What types of jobs are you looking for, and what are you finding (if anything)? Have you thought about reinventing yourself, or taking things in a different direction?

I prefer to be a full-time worker with a salary and benefits, but right now that’s just not happening in my area. Consulting and contract work is coming in though, which is making me wonder if it’s time to make a shift to that type of work completely.

If you’re employed, how is your company focusing on documentation? Are they keeping writers on-board, thinning the herd a bit, contracting work out, or letting it drop or changing focus on how it’s developed and delivered?
